Commemorative Sheets

Brought out from time to time to mark specific events, these A4 sheets usually carry 10 x 1st Class stamps with adjacent labels featuring pictorial images website_008 pertaining to the occasion. These sheets do carry a premium charged by Royal Mail and are available as a mint item as well as on First Day Covers. We also offer them as a complete sheet on a plain A4 envelope.

Certainly one of the most popular ones was to mark the 800th Anniversary of the University of Cambridge. Others issued have featured Big Ben and the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Grand Prix Commemorative Sheet: Issue Date: 8th July 2010

A new commemorative sheet will be issued marking the British Grand Prix in July. As with other sheets, we shall be preparing a number of First Day Covers carrying the stamps from the sheet.

In addition, a very limited number of A4 sized envelopes carrying the sheet in full will be postmarked.

Halley's Comet Commemorative Sheet Issue Date 18th May 2010

Royal Mail is bringing out a new Commemorative Sheet marking the centenary of the first photograph of Halley's Comet which came about due to "technological developments of the day"!

The sheet comprises 10 x 1st Class stamps with labels featuring a variety of subject matters - all connected to the Comet, including the Bayeux Tapestry and the Nativity, to mention two. If you want to know more, you will need to buy one!

In addition to sellling these items in mint or new condition, we are applying them in the same format to First Day Covers for easy insertion into FDC albums.
